Summer on a budget!

Image
When it comes to summer, we all want to be out and about doing lots of fun things, making the most of the 'nice' summer weather. However, especially if you're a student, it can be more difficult to afford fancy holidays and numerous days out. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy your summer though! Here's some things you can do this summer on a budget: 1) Bike rides. You don't need any money for this activity- just a bike! Pack a snack and a bottle of water and then off you go! You can ride anywhere and for as long as you like, soaking up the sun on your way. 2) Picnics. Whilst you might need to spend a little money, you can easily spend less than a tenner putting a picnic together, especially if you already have a lot of food in the house! Then just grab a blanket and take a stroll to a sunny spot!  3) BBQ's. Similarly to picnics, BBQ's aren't too costly, especially if you already have a BBQ at home- if not, you can...

Do you date to marry?

Dating is fun, right? Meeting new people, doing fun stuff together and learning about one another and then watching as it blossoms into something beautiful and stimulating or crashes and burns into a vague memory that you can laugh about with your friends a few months down the line. And that's okay- it doesn't matter what the outcome is as long as you have a laugh and are happy! Do you know what's not okay?  Expecting every single date to turn into marriage.  I used to think that this was a pretty standard attitude to have and then I found myself back on the dating scene and I started to realise how God damn crazy  this is. Do you really  think you're going to want to marry every person you start dating? Every single one? Realistically, it isn't going to happen! Now I'm not saying that it's bad to want to marry someone you're dating- that's fine! You're allowed to envision a future with someone! What's mad is not allowing y...

For those of you who know me well and keep updated with my social media sites, you'll know that I was helping to present a concert hosted by my radio shows station, Blink FM. Yesterday (Saturday 7th March) was the big day- and it was better than I had expected. The rehearsals were full of gossiping...this did not put my mind at ease! On the Friday, the whole team had had a minuscule rehearsal which, in all honesty, only made me panic about the event and what it was I was supposed to do and when! However, upon arrival at the venue on the Saturday, everything seemed to be running smoothly- and did so for the duration of the event! My boyfriend, Alex, runs his own business, Stoke Skate Company , so before I did anything else, I helped him to set up his stall (may I point out, his first ever  stall for his business!) and prepare for the night. It turned out to be a really successful night for the business, and he even made some profit which was a massive bonus. I couldn't h...

50 Facts About Me

I see so many posts floating around the bloggersphere where blogger's share a bit about the person that they are whilst tagging other blogger's and inviting them to participate too, so that everyone can get to know each other a bit more! To me, this is a really great way to network and make some new friends within the blogging world, so I have decided to start my own factual post- 50 facts about me, Florence Grace! If you find yourself tagged at the end- or even if you aren't but want to participate regardless-  then please do join in with this tag! It will be a lot of fun if lots of different bloggers get involved! So, here goes... My favourite colour is pink- and some would say I am pink obsessed. Ditto glitter. If it's sparkly, it's mine.  I love unicorns and refuse to believe they don't exist. I am a total social media addict, much to the annoyance of my family and friends. I have been with my boyfriend since I was 14 years old (4 and a half years!...
