Natural beauty with Clinique! *

Image
Not too long ago I worked on an exciting collaboration with Clinique  all about their new skin care campaign. I was able to offer you guys the chance to get yourself  a free Clinique product and to tell you all about the fabulous free gift you could get if you spent a certain amount of money on Clinique products at Boots. Well, I'm back with another brilliant Clinique offer for you, and to tell you all about their latest campaign, how to create the No Makeup makeup look, an exciting collaboration with designer Jonathan Adler and how you can claim more freebies- thanks to me! After receiving a fab skin care treatment for my last collaboration with Clinique, this time around I was fortunate enough to receive a makeover! I'm pretty rubbish at doing my own makeup- I can't do a cut crease or contour to save my life, I usually just slap on some sparkly eye stuff, make my face as glowy as I can and then think I'm good to go. However, Clinique advisor Beth took me into her sa...

Saving face!

When it comes to my face- or rather, looking after my face- I am the worst. I often leave my make up on when I go to sleep simply because I'm too tired to take it off, or if I do take it off I just use a babywipe (I can feel all the beauty bloggers screaming at me right now). I do use a moisturising strobe balm underneath my foundation which keeps my face quite soft but that's honestly about it. I don't really have many major skin issues, so skin care just isn't something that I think about.  So when my friend Chloe, who is the account manager of Clinique at the Aylesbury Boots store invited me to come down and find out about their different skin care products I thought, 'why not?'.  Well, I'm not lying when I say that girl has changed my life . For real.  I have never used Clinique products, and obviously never had a facial or skin care routine, so I had absolutely no idea what to expect and let Chloe have complete free reign with my skin...

Silk-Skin Review!

Image
Yesterday me and my best friend Abby went to the Professional Beauty show in London. I had never been to this show before but Abby had been the previous year so had filled me in and I was pretty excited! I couldn't wait to have a shop around all of the different beauty stalls, meet some new business contacts, build some PR relationships and discover some new beauty brands! We got to the show as it opened at 10am and straight away got ourselves a free, giant  golden Moroccan tan bag which we used to pop our goodies in throughout the day. Walking around the first lot of stalls, I stopped and had my hair done, and me and Abby both got our lips done with a divine glitter lip kit that stayed on my lips for 29 hours  without smudging, chipping or smearing! I was beyond impressed and bought four different glitter colours...the best part is, they can also be used on your eyes too! Anyway, that's another post for another day. Today I want to talk about the second product I ...

Getting Russian Lashes!

Image
A few months ago, I got my first ever eyelash extensions from my talented best friend Abby! I loved them, the experience was better than I had expected and nowhere near as nerve wracking as I had thought it would be and I fell in love with my natural looking, long lashes.  With my 21st birthday coming up, I wanted long lashes again, but this time more glamorous! My other best friend Poppy had got some really lovely long lashes from Abby and I wanted something similar! Abs decided to treat me to some Russian lashes for my birthday. This meant instead of having one lash extension attached to each of my natural eyelashes, there'd be three attached to one (I think that's right...) which creates a bolder, more dramatic eyelash look.  I was a little nervous in case I didn't like them or they didn't suit me but Abby was completely professional, told me she knew what she was doing and that they'd look "fit as mate" and made me close my eyes so she c...

Makeup Revolution I AM FREEDOM Final!

Image
Last night (Thursday 27th October) I had the pleasure and good luck of attending Makeup Revolution's I AM FREEDOM finale party/Halloween party! I had attended the Makeup Revolution second birthday party back in March and so when I was emailed about this party, I knew I had  to attend, because boy, oh boy, do Makeup Revolution know how to throw a party! The theme was cocktail party with your own Halloween twist, so everyone's outfits were quite varied! While my bestie Bobbie was sporting a pair of angel wings, and my blogging pal Julia a unicorn horn, I chose to stick simply with Halloween colours- red and black. I wore a red sequinned cocktail dress and went for scarlett lips, blood red nails and a dark smoky eye look. To be honest, I was really feelin' myself, and I did receive a lot of compliments which was nice, so I'm definitely going to be trying this look out again!  Excuse my yellow eyes!  The party was held at DSTRKT in London, somewhere I'...
