The Sex Museum

Image
My recent trip to Amsterdam was actually my fourth visit there, and yet until this latest trip I had never been to the infamous Sex Museum. However, it was my sisters first time to the city and we wanted to do as many tourist-y things as possible, and visiting this museum was one of them.  Now I'm not going to lie, I thought the museum would just be one big joke. I knew from friends visits that there were giant penis' inside that made for hilarious photos, and other outrageous models and such that were hilarious to take photo's of. So I thought this would be the same throughout the entire museum; a bit of a laugh, a bit of a joke. How wrong was I! Admittedly, the first floor of the museum was quite funny, filled with humorous moving models that flashed you, 'peed' in your face, were performing sexual acts on each other and so in. It made me and my sister giggle, that's for sure. However, as we progressed to the second ad third floor of the m...

Let's talk about boobs.

Image
Just as the title suggests, let's talk about boobs. Because to be honest, I've had enough.  I mean, it's annoyed me before, but it wasn't until last night when I saw a certain post that I had to "go off on one" shall we say. That's right, I ranted about boobs, on Twitter, for all of the world to see. This was the post that triggered it: Now of course  it wasn't Halle Berry's response that made me angry, because she was amazing! It was the person tweeting her! Everyone's boobs are different. Different shapes, weights, sizes. No one has the same pair of boobs.  The vast majority of people have one boob larger than the other- usually this is the left boob. No one's boobs are symmetrical because guess what? The human body isn't s...

Are you beach body ready? Give me a break...

You must have been living under a rock if you haven't noticed the latest scandal in the world of media, advertising and body shaming...Protein Worlds "Are you beach body ready?" posters, plastered here, there and everywhere. I'm sure you've seen them, great, ugly, bright yellow eye sores plastered all over the place. Women (and I'm sure some men, although I myself haven't seen any) all over the country have been kicking off. Understandably, right? This poster strongly implies that being "beach body ready" involves looking like the model in the poster. Not only is she likely to have been severely photo shopped, how many women naturally look like that? With the average clothing size in Britain being a 14, I doubt many do.  I have no problem with the woman in the advert- if I was to be on a beach in a skimpy bikini, I know that is how I would like to look. However, I am sensible enough to know with my build, my curvaceous figure and my eatin...
