Love from, Florence Grace

When I was 12, I got a radio for my birthday. It was really cool, cube shaped with a cube shaped speaker. It looked really modern and also had the ability to stand your iPod in it or use an aux cable to play your own music too. I absolutely loved it. It was at 12 that I started listening to the Radio 1 chart show, and it was at 12 that I discovered who Reggie Yates and Fearne Cotton were. I fell in love, listening to the show religiously, texting in every week. At the time, my name was Flo Jo and when I signed a text off that way, Reggie Yates read it out, saying how cool my name was. The shows were so much fun to listen to and I decided that was what I wanted to do; I wanted to be a radio presenter like Reggie Yates and Fearne.  While Fearne Cotton does inspire me with all of the things that she does (I'd love to have my fingers in as many pies as her!), its Reggie Yates who is my real inspiration. For those of you who know me well and keep updated with my social media sites, you'll know that I was helping to present a concert hosted by my radio shows station, Blink FM. Yesterday (Saturday 7th March) was the big day- and it was better than I had expected. The rehearsals were full of gossiping...this did not put my mind at ease! On the Friday, the whole team had had a minuscule rehearsal which, in all honesty, only made me panic about the event and what it was I was supposed to do and when! However, upon arrival at the venue on the Saturday, everything seemed to be running smoothly- and did so for the duration of the event! My boyfriend, Alex, runs his own business, Stoke Skate Company , so before I did anything else, I helped him to set up his stall (may I point out, his first ever  stall for his business!) and prepare for the night. As many of you will already know, I have a radio show of my own, 'Friday's with Florence Grace', every Friday on Blink FM. Others of you may also know that back in November, I became a trained TV presenter. In this exciting blog post, I'm about to explain to you how these two fabulous events are about to combine, and how you  can get involved! FWFG is hosted on local station Blink FM, based in High Wycombe and founded by Wycombe Youth Action in 2002.
