My all time favourite films

Image
I watch a lot of films. If I'm not working, I'm Netflixing and chilling by myself, for real (can we host a little pity party for me over here please?) I'm so bad at choosing films to watch though because I'm so bloody indecisive, and that usually means that I end up watching the same films over and over again. Here are some of my all time favourite films that I will never get bored of watching.  Forrest Gump My number one all time favourite film is without a doubt Forrest Gump. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it has Tom Hanks in it, could it be any more perfect? I don't think so.  The Breakfast Club Honestly, if you've never seen this film what have you been doing all of your life? It's honestly one of the best films that I have ever seen and I am totally in love with Judd Nelson (gotta love a bad boy, am I right?) Pulp Fiction I don't even know what it is that I like so much about this film because it's not the ki...

Books VS. Films

Image
Nowadays, most books are turned into films. However, they don't always manage to get it quite right- sometimes the films are truly awful, sometimes they're brilliant and more often than not they miss out major details from the stories we already knew and loved. So which book-to-film's have been great and which have truly sucked? Lord of the Rings A truly epic series of films, I have to confess that I haven't read the books but I have it on authority that the books are better than the films- although the films really are incredible and stay pretty true to the books, even if it does take 1,000 years to watch them all! Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging So, so  disappointing! I adored the Georgia Nicholson books, but when they combined the first two into one film, but taking details from all  the books and mixing things up and getting things wrong, I just couldn't stand it. I like the film, it makes me laugh, but there are so many inaccuracies. ...

Films with the best soundtracks!

Image
A lot of films are only half as successful as they are because of their epic sound tracks. Some films are absolutely awful and are saved entirely by the fact that they have a good sound track. At the end of the day, music is everything. Here is a list of films that I think have the best soundtrack! Pulp Fiction. My personal favourite: Let's Stay Together: Al Green. The Breakfast Club. My personal favourite: Don't You (Forget About Me)- Simple Minds. The Great Gatsby. My personal favourite: Young and Beautiful- Lana del Ray. Lemonade.  My personal favourite: Hold Up/Sorry/Don't Hurt Yourself/All Night- Beyonce. AMY. My personal favourite: Stronger Than Me- Amy Winehouse Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.  My personal favourite: In the Morning- The Coral/ Young Folk- Peter, Bjorn and John Juno.  My personal favourite: Anyone Else But You- Moldy Peaches ...

Films to see before you die

Image
We all love a good film, be that one of the online classics for a Netflix and chill sesh or a much loved Disney one from our own personal collection at home. Undeniably though, there are some films you just have to watch in your life time. Of course, everyone's opinions will vary ( spoiler alert - I despise Shawshank Redemption, Jaws and the Italian Job so they are not on this list) but this is my own take on films you have to see before you die.  1) The Breakfast Club. Everything about this film is great. There isn't even a real major plot to the story, other than the coming together and understanding of five very different individuals. But something about it is just brilliant- especially the closing scene, with the iconic fist punch and the music it's paired with; 'Don't You Forget About Me' by Simple Minds.  2) Forrest Gump. I may be biased because I adore Tom Hanks, but this film strikes such an emotional chord with ever...

My favourite Disney villains

Image
We always hear about Disney princes and princess's...how they'd look as pin up models, how they'd look in modern day and so on and so on. We rarely hear about the Disney Villain's- and yet they're some of the best characters! There wouldn't even be a story without them, they deserve more credit than they're given! Here's a list of my favourite Disney Villain's and why I think they're awesome. 1) Maleficent. Maleficent is my all time favourite. It could be how regal she is, it could be because she's from my favourite Disney princess story and it could also be because the re told story featuring Angelina Jolie was so magnificent and emotional that I fell in love with the character even more! I even dressed as her for the Disney fancy dress on my final day of school...  2) Mother Gothel. She isn't that  evil in comparison with other villains- yes she did kidnap a child, but she raised her to be a polite, educated ...
