"I'm in crazy, stupid love" yes Cheryl, we know!

Cheryl Tweedy, Cheryl Cole, just plain Cheryl and now Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Bit of a mouthful, but slightly more glamorous than any of her previous names. Cheryl really is going all out to play her part as an A-List superstar...

It's been nearly a month now since Cheryl and her new husband Jean-Bernard were secretly married after a whirlwind 3 month romance. Around the same time as releasing the news of her new love affair, the star also released her newest single "Crazy, Stupid Love". Slightly fitting, am I right? Not only does the song feature an ear grating tambourine encore throughout the entirety of the song, it also has Cheryl proclaiming over and over that she's "in crazy, stupid love". Yes Cheryl, we know. Only someone totally crazy would be able to plan a wedding in 3 months, let alone actually meet someone, fall in love and marry them in that space of time too! And obviously you'd have to be stupidly in love to make such a large commitment in such a short space of time... 

The ex-Girls Aloud singer kept quiet for a few days after the ceremony, at which only 4 people were present, finally posting a photo on instagram of her new diamond ring, claiming she wanted to 'avoid speculation'. Since then, there have been numerous post-wedding parties to celebrate the union of the pair...it seems her husbands surname isn't the only thing about him to contain an obscene amount of digits! 

However, guests of the parties have included fellow X-Factor judge Simon Cowell and past band members Nicole and Sarah, all who have spoken positively of Cheryl's new partner and how happy they are together. And as the public, we only have their word for it, as Cheryl is happy enough to proclaim her 'crazy, stupid love' in a 3:46 song, but seems to be keeping her relationship well away from public eyes. So what do we know about the mysterious Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini? 

After some brief media stalking and with the ever so helpful google search bar, the following was discovered: 
  • He founded the classy restaurant 'Cosy Box' for the duration of the Cannes Film Festival, but no one is sure what else he does outside of this. 
  • He took a gap year 'just to party', financed by his parents. Of course he did. 
  • He has a business degree.
Besides from these brief facts, both Jean-Bernard and Cheryl seem to be keeping their lips locked about J-B's personal life. Not like his counterpart, who is more than happy to sing about how in love she is with the accompaniment of that jangling tambourine...

Friday 27th February 2015 saw the grand event that was a fashion show in London for the fabulous charity, Children with Cancer UK. I was invited to the event about 2 weeks ago as a blogger, to cover the event and raise awareness of the charity. This week (13th - 20th May 2019) is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year, the theme is Body Image - how we think and feel about our bodies.  Those of you who have followed me for some time will know that for about two years now, if not more, I have been an advocate for body positivity and self love. More recently, you may have seen me featured in a story in The Metro , talking about a body shaming incident I experienced on holiday and how I dealt with it.  There's absolutely no denying that there is a direct correlation between body image and our mental health. I know that personally, when I'm experiencing a "bad body day" and don't feel very positively about my body, for whatever reason, my mental health goes down the drain too. Eating Disorders- the Blunt Truth.

WARNING:  The following content is sensitive and me be triggering to those suffering from, recovering from or who have recovered from eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia and other health problems such as depression. As I sit down in my local pub ready to tuck into my generous portion of gammon and chips, I feel a prickle on the back of my neck- that all to familiar feeling of knowing that someone is staring at you. As I whip my head around the dining area, my eyes fall on the slender figure of a girl, probably around my age, maybe a few years younger, looking at me with disgust in her eyes- disgust clearly at the way I look and what I'm eating.
