Stuck at 18

Being a responsible adult is really not my forte. Having recently turned 21, you'd think I'd be able to fend for myself pretty well. However, when I poured a pan of boiling water over my hands whilst trying to drain my noodles the other night, I realised I'm about as far from a responsible adult as you could ever be...and it's probably always going to be that way! I don't eat properly I can go hours without eating. I'll go the whole day and not touch a single piece of food and then it gets to 11:38pm and I find myself eating a Doritos share bag and some crab sticks. Don't ask me why these are my go to snacks, I honestly don't know. Regardless, how can I ever expect to look after another human being when I can't even feed myself properly? What's a cup of tea? Or any hot drink for that matter. I don't know how to make a cup of tea or coffee and I think this is why no one ever wanted me for internships when I was younger. I cook for ten ...

21 Things By 21

On my birthday, I wrote a blog post stating that I didn't want to write a post like everyone else, the 21 life lessons I'd learned by the time that I was 21. But now, while I'm sat here struggling for blog post inspo, I figure that it's a pretty good post, so why the hell not? Obviously now that I'm a fully fledged adult, I'm full of wisdom that I have to share, right? Right... 1) Be selfish Honestly, I have spent so much of my life putting other people and their happiness before my own and always being screwed over in return that I've learnt that it's totally okay to be selfish. Don't be cruel about it, don't be horrible to people but do  put yourself first and be 'selfish'.  2) Boys suck They really, really do. I can't even tell you much more than that but what I will say is when you find a good one, hang on to him!  3) Girls also suck They'll backstab and they'll bitch and they'll make you mad, ...

Happy birthday me (until next year!)

Well, almost a week later, my birthday celebrations are finally over and done with! Last night I finished my 21st birthday with a bang, taking a limo for myself and seven friends to a cocktail bar in London where we had a booth booked before heading back to town to do some more club hopping. It was a brilliant night, I definitely went all out and my friends spoiled me rotten. With a pink and silver theme, a personalised Instagram frame and wrist bands, I had the best time and have never felt so lucky or so loved before!  It's late and I'm tired/slightly hungover, so I'm going to do a more in depth post about it tomorrow, or later on this week (possibly a "look what I got" post about the gifts from my friends because I was so  spoiled!) but for now, here's some photo's from the night! I had such a great night and I am so lucky to have such brilliant friends and family who have made my 21st birthday th...

My birthday!

Image
Yesterday I turned 21, yay! I had an absolutely incredible day that I posted about all over social media (haters gonna hate, read my view on you guys here: A LINK FOR HATERS ONLY ) but in case you somehow missed all of my updates, I thought I'd share my day with you right here on the blog! Turning 21 here isn't as big of a deal as it is in America, but it is still special...you get to basically celebrate 18, 21 and then 40. Because I'm now not going to have a 'special' birthday for 19 years, I really wanted to go all out on my 21st so I've had/I'm having four  celebrations. I already blogged about the pre birthday celebrations at TGI Friday's with my Mum ( catch that right here ) and I'm having drinks with my work girls tomorrow and then a 'party' on Saturday (but I'll blog about those at a later date!) So. Let's talk about yesterday. Well, to be quite honest I was treated like a princess and absolutely spoiled rotten. I sta...

Turning 21!

Image
It's the 1st of November (where the heck has the year gone?!) and that means at 15:29 today, I will be 21 years old. 21! I was going to do one of those bog standard blog posts "21 lessons by 21" but I thought I'd switch it up a little and go for a different take on things...the 21 best moments of my life so far! I've lead a pretty exciting life so far, so thought I'd take a look back over the last 21 years and pick out some of the most defining moments of my life so far. So, in no particular order... Seeing Beyonce! Of course getting to see my favourite singer, my idol, my inspiration was one of the absolute highlights of my entire life! I cried nearly all the way through the concert and I had the best time ever! She exceeded all of my expectations and I wish I could see her again. Meeting Jacqueline Wilson Well, I've actually met her three times, but the first time was the best time. As a child, I adored all of her books. I collec...

Pre-birthday celebrations!

Image
Okay, so my birthday isn't until Tuesday but I'm going to be celebrating my birthday for the next week, and it all kicked off today with a pre-birthday meal to TGI Friday's with my mum and my sisters. None of us had been before or knew what to expect so we were all really looking forward to going. I knew it wasn't a particularly fancy place to go but I decided I wanted to dress nicely anyway, so I even bought some new culottes or the occasion (I totally don't have these trousers in three different colours now...) When we got to TGI's we realised it was more of an American diner style restaurant than we had thought! Outside the sign was lit up with spotlights and there was an almost life sized yellow taxi outside, like a New York cab!  When we got inside we were seated right away by an incredibly friendly waitress, and our waitress for the night (who was different from the one that greeted us) was equally as friendly! She was pol...
