ALEX

My best pals Bobbie, Alec, BJ and Carda (excluding Pops and Abs- your time will come!) have had a unique blog post all about how fabulous and wonderful they are, so I thought it was about time I dedicated one to my best girl, Alex. I've known Alex for ages, at least a couple of years, but it was only at the start of this year that we got to know each other properly, actually bonding over coming out of long term relationships and wanting to feel like we were ready to take on the world again. Over the last twelve months, we've been there through it all; ups and downs, smiles and tears, fuck boys and boyfriends (and a lot more fuck boys). She's thrown a drink on me, I always forget to message her first, but aside from the flaws we get on as well as sisters do, if not better! I love Alex for a whole lot of reasons. She's absolutely crazy, but in (mostly) the best kind of way. She will always stand by my decisions, even if she doesn't 100% agree, and will let...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEC!

Image
I have been doing a happy birthday blog post for all of my little group of friends this year, and today marks the last one- its Alec's birthday! I knew Alec was odd when we first spoke at college- he likened my blue, fluffy jumper to a care bear. I'd never heard a boy  talk about care bears before, let alone be called a care bear by one, so I knew something wasn't quite right with him... Joking! Kind of, anyway...! Alec is the person I became friends with last in our little group, but I really wish we had become friends sooner because he is such  a laugh. I don't even really remember the specifics of how we became best friends; I just know that one moment he wasn't in my life at all and the next, he was. It's funny how friendships happen like that. Out of BJ, Carda and Alec, Alec is the most like me. We're both really  into music (not necessarily the same) and good films. We both love going to gigs, we both love to shock BJ and Carda with ...

Happy birthday, Carda!

As a part of my best pal BJ's birthday present, I wrote him a very lovely blog post. It was then that I promised the rest of the gang, Ricarda and Alec, that I would do the same for them- and today is Ricarda's birthday! So here goes. Ricarda- or as I've come to know her, Carda- was the first person from my lil gang of friends that I became friends with first. Me and her were newbie buddies at college, taken in oh so kindly by Poppy and Abby (two of my other best girls!). She was quiet and I didn't really speak to her much, but have basically been friends with her since day one.  Carda is the most hard working, determined and patient person that I have ever  met. Honestly, no one puts in as many hours as her, no one puts as much dedication into every aspect of their life in the way she does. But not only does she work incredibly hard to reach amazing achievements, she is just so amazingly talented at everything too- especially art and making cakes! ...

Foxes, noodles and BJ's Foreskin: The woes of Wybrow

Sorry that it's seven minutes to midnight as I write this- I've been having, and still am having- a delightful evening with my best pals. To celebrate Pancake Day, my friends came over for pancakes and a games night which has turned out to be totally hilarious. We also had a noodle nation take away that I have been looking forward to for days so this was massively enjoyed and a huge treat for me after my healthy eating regime from the last few weeks.  I had a great moment of spontaneity too, purchasing a ticket to a Foxes gig on a spur of the moment whim thanks to my friends- so now we have a gig to look forward to in less than a months time!  The greatest laugh of the evening was my best pal BJ, who just turned 20, asking if he had a foreskin and what one looked like.  Answer?  Yes. He does.  It's great that after 20 years of living, he has finally made this discovery. I am so proud of him.  Anyway, sorry for the rubbishy b...
