22, you've been fun...

Image
I dunnoooo about youuuuuu but I'm feeling twennytwoooooooo Sorry guys - it's the last day I can sing that and mean  it, because as of 3:29pm tomorrow, I will be turning 23. 23!! I can't cope, that just sounds so old to me. Growing up I thought that by now I'd be married, own my own home and have at least one baby, probably with another on the way. L O L Can you imagine me with a baby right now? Jonny takes up enough of my time and energy as it is, let alone with a baby too... But seriously, here I am at 23 and nothing about the life I'm living now is as I planned or expected - or, in some cases, even dreamed. Being 22 has been amazing for me. I've achieved so much - things I would never even have considered being within reaching distance for me. I've cut off some of the most toxic, poisonous people you could imagine and surrounded myself with only the best people in life. I've worked longer and harder, I've found peace with body im...

The Ultimate Glow Up

On Wednesday (1st November) I turned 22! Eeeeeek . That sounds so  old in my head! 21 seems like an age where it's still seen as acceptable to be a little wild, a little out of control, a bit of a party animal. 22- in my head, at least- sees so much older, so much more mature. I feel like I actually have to start being a responsible adult now, and like I need to start getting my shit together (for lack of better terminology!). As with all birthdays, I did spend some time surrounding my 22nd birthday reflecting on the kind of year I'd had being 21, and the kind of things that being 21 had brought to me and my life. I feel like I say this most years, but I genuinely feel like 21 was my best  year yet. Honestly, this year has shaped me like no other. When I was 20, life turned into a learning curve for me. I was experiencing things I wasn't used to, dealing with emotional turmoil that sent me to breaking point that I felt like I would never bounce back from and so, for the...

LFFG is three!

Image
My baby is three today! And by my baby, I mean my blog. Duh . Honestly though, I can’t believe that Love from, Florence Grace is three years old today. Three years ago today I made the decision to begin sharing my life online, opening up to strangers on the internet – and I can tell you now it was the best decision I have ever made. My blog has brought me new friends. It has created employment opportunities for me. It has helped me to find myself, boost my confidence and become more comfortable in my own skin. I’ve done things I could never have imagined being accessible to me, I’ve met people I could only have dreamed of meeting, I’ve started my own business, I’ve entered into an entirely different career field than I was about to embark on this time three years ago, and have moulded my entire life around my blog and being a content creator. I’ve found a new sense of self, a new identity through my blog. My dreams and goals have altered quite drastically, I want dif...

Love from... turns 2!

Image
It's the 1st of June today, which means that two years ago today, I officially launched my business- my magazine, Love from... magazine . I can not  believe that it's been two years! Two whole years since I held that first published copy of Issue 1 in my hands and thought, this is it. This is what I want to do. Of course, in my head I had my doubts- who doesn't when they're setting up their own business? And so it seems like a huge  deal to have reached this two year milestone.  I can't lie and tell you that it's been a smooth, easy journey. It hasn't. I've been so busy trying to grow and evolve the magazine that I've had to pour in more money than I was often making, I've altered the price up and down, the page numbers, the layout, I've taken on writers, lost some then taken on more, I've lost endless hours of sleep pouring over page layouts and I've stressed over printing faults and late delivery... ...yet here I am. Two ...

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS/MY 21ST

Image
Hey guys, long time no speak! I can't believe it's been over two weeks since I wrote a blog post and whilst it has felt strange not posting every single day, I can tell you I have not  missed it. It's not because I don't love blogging, because I do, but I think I just really  needed- and deserved!- the break! Now I'm back and am really excited for some of the content I have planned for 2017! Admittedly, today's post is a bit of a basic one, filled with a lot more photo's and a lot less writing, but I promise I do have some really good posts planned out! Today I just wanted to share with you the gifts my lil' gang (BJ, Alec and Carda) got me for Christmas and for my 21st birthday! Now, yes, my 21st birthday was over 2 months ago but I didn't get to see BJ and Carda until the 8th January to open their gifts for me- and there was 21 of them ! The pair of them (aka, Carda) had been collecting gifts for pretty much the entire year leading up to my birt...

21 Things By 21

Image
On my birthday, I wrote a blog post stating that I didn't want to write a post like everyone else, the 21 life lessons I'd learned by the time that I was 21. But now, while I'm sat here struggling for blog post inspo, I figure that it's a pretty good post, so why the hell not? Obviously now that I'm a fully fledged adult, I'm full of wisdom that I have to share, right? Right... 1) Be selfish Honestly, I have spent so much of my life putting other people and their happiness before my own and always being screwed over in return that I've learnt that it's totally okay to be selfish. Don't be cruel about it, don't be horrible to people but do  put yourself first and be 'selfish'.  2) Boys suck They really, really do. I can't even tell you much more than that but what I will say is when you find a good one, hang on to him!  3) Girls also suck They'll backstab and they'll bitch and they'll make you mad, ...
