Foxes, noodles and BJ's Foreskin: The woes of Wybrow

Sorry that it's seven minutes to midnight as I write this- I've been having, and still am having- a delightful evening with my best pals.

To celebrate Pancake Day, my friends came over for pancakes and a games night which has turned out to be totally hilarious. We also had a noodle nation take away that I have been looking forward to for days so this was massively enjoyed and a huge treat for me after my healthy eating regime from the last few weeks. 

I had a great moment of spontaneity too, purchasing a ticket to a Foxes gig on a spur of the moment whim thanks to my friends- so now we have a gig to look forward to in less than a months time! 

The greatest laugh of the evening was my best pal BJ, who just turned 20, asking if he had a foreskin and what one looked like. 

Answer? 

Yes. He does. 

It's great that after 20 years of living, he has finally made this discovery. I am so proud of him. 

Anyway, sorry for the rubbishy blog post today but I must get back to this hilarious evening with my beloved friends. I promise tomorrow's will be better. 

I hope you've all had a great day and had lots of pancakes!

Friday 27th February 2015 saw the grand event that was a fashion show in London for the fabulous charity, Children with Cancer UK. I was invited to the event about 2 weeks ago as a blogger, to cover the event and raise awareness of the charity. I was honored to have been asked to do so, as the charity is really just so important, as well as super excited to cover a fashion show, as this was something I had never done before! The night was a huge success, and the display of talent was extremely impressive- from the designers work, to the various acts performing in between! This week (13th - 20th May 2019) is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year, the theme is Body Image - how we think and feel about our bodies.  Those of you who have followed me for some time will know that for about two years now, if not more, I have been an advocate for body positivity and self love. More recently, you may have seen me featured in a story in The Metro , talking about a body shaming incident I experienced on holiday and how I dealt with it.  There's absolutely no denying that there is a direct correlation between body image and our mental health. I know that personally, when I'm experiencing a "bad body day" and don't feel very positively about my body, for whatever reason, my mental health goes down the drain too. Yet when we feel good about our bodies, this can be reflected in our mental health too.  When I experienced body shaming in my bikini on holiday, I felt the lowest I had in a while. Eating Disorders- the Blunt Truth.

WARNING:  The following content is sensitive and me be triggering to those suffering from, recovering from or who have recovered from eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia and other health problems such as depression. As I sit down in my local pub ready to tuck into my generous portion of gammon and chips, I feel a prickle on the back of my neck- that all to familiar feeling of knowing that someone is staring at you. As I whip my head around the dining area, my eyes fall on the slender figure of a girl, probably around my age, maybe a few years younger, looking at me with disgust in her eyes- disgust clearly at the way I look and what I'm eating.
