Travel bucket list

So far, my experience of the world has been quite limited. I have only had a passport since I was 15 and since then I have been to Menorca, Amsterdam three times and Barcelona. So, as you would expect, my bucket list of places to travel to is quite extensive! I thought I'd share my top locations with you here though!


1) Fiji. No idea why but it's just somewhere I have always wanted to go! 



2) Bora Bora. Do I really need to explain that one?



3) Australia. Despite the scary big spiders and poisonous creatures, there is still kangaroos and koalas, white sand and blue oceans...just beautiful.



Paris. Not as exotic as the others but it's meant to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world! 



Florence. It is my namesake city, after all!



California. Hot sunny beaches, fab shopping opportunities and hot guys surfing the waves...yes please!



Norway. A little on the cold side for my liking but I am dying to see the Northern Lights!

    Nice list! :) California and Florence are definitely beautiful. You really have to go!

    Personally, I would also love to visit Thailand and Iceland.

Children With Cancer UK Fashion Show!

Friday 27th February 2015 saw the grand event that was a fashion show in London for the fabulous charity, Children with Cancer UK. I was invited to the event about 2 weeks ago as a blogger, to cover the event and raise awareness of the charity. I was honored to have been asked to do so, as the charity is really just so important, as well as super excited to cover a fashion show, as this was something I had never done before! The night was a huge success, and the display of talent was extremely impressive- from the designers work, to the various acts performing in between! #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek - Body Image and Mental Health

This week (13th - 20th May 2019) is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year, the theme is Body Image - how we think and feel about our bodies.  Those of you who have followed me for some time will know that for about two years now, if not more, I have been an advocate for body positivity and self love. More recently, you may have seen me featured in a story in The Metro , talking about a body shaming incident I experienced on holiday and how I dealt with it.  There's absolutely no denying that there is a direct correlation between body image and our mental health. I know that personally, when I'm experiencing a "bad body day" and don't feel very positively about my body, for whatever reason, my mental health goes down the drain too. Yet when we feel good about our bodies, this can be reflected in our mental health too.  When I experienced body shaming in my bikini on holiday, I felt the lowest I had in a while. Eating Disorders- the Blunt Truth.

WARNING:  The following content is sensitive and me be triggering to those suffering from, recovering from or who have recovered from eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia and other health problems such as depression. As I sit down in my local pub ready to tuck into my generous portion of gammon and chips, I feel a prickle on the back of my neck- that all to familiar feeling of knowing that someone is staring at you. As I whip my head around the dining area, my eyes fall on the slender figure of a girl, probably around my age, maybe a few years younger, looking at me with disgust in her eyes- disgust clearly at the way I look and what I'm eating. I feel fat, bulky, uncomfortable and I let my glance fall to her own plate, noticing she has a salad, mostly untouched. She sips constantly at her water like it's the only thing keeping her alive.
