Jemma, the blogging queen, more commonly known as Dorkface , is one of my favourite bloggers ever. Not only is she incrdibly supportive of everyone , a talented writer and the founder of the awesome community that is The Girl Gang, she's also an incredible artist who creates absolutely amazing and one of a kind products that are sold on her Etsy store. A few weeks ago, Jemma asked me if I'd be interested in reviewing some of her products- and I, of course, jumped at the opportunity! I love drinking, I love live music and I love food. When The Piano Works in Farringdon got in touch with me and invited me to their venue for brunch, watching a live band and with bottomless alcohol, I could hardly say no! I didn’t really have any idea what to expect. I had never been to a venue like this before- part club, part restaurant, with two live pianists in the centre of the room, with other musicians such as a trumpeter and a drummer joining in on occasion. The best thing is, all of the songs that are performed are by request of the guests! On each table there are some napkins and pens where you can write your name, a song and a special shout out if you have a message you want to share. If you’re feeling very generous, you can write an amount to tip the musicians, to get your song played sooner! July 7th was World Chocolate Day, and while I somehow managed to miss that (honestly, how?), the team over at Ombar were kind enough to send me some of their products so that I could still participate in the celebrations, even if I was a little late to the party. As we approach the 1st of June with a scarily rapid speed, I can't help but feel a little  freaked out that we are pretty much half way through the year. It's seven months today until Christmas, and seven months and 7 days until 2017. How bloody scary is that?! I genuinely do not understand where the time is going this year, it just seems to be disappearing more and more quickly. Anyway, I wanted to take some time to reflect on the kind of year 2016 has been for me so far. Well. It's definitely been different!  Of course, I expected that this year I'd be getting up to more exciting things with my boyfriend, but at the stroke of 12 on New Years Eve, I entered 2016 single- quite literally feeling like it was a new year with a new me. I didn't think I would be able to cope, I didn't see how my life would be able to go on after such a harsh and sudden adjustment after nearly five and half years of a set routine. A little behind everybody else, I know, but today I finally got to sit down and watch the Oscar-winning movie, Amy, a documentary based on the life of the world renowned singer- before, during and after the fame.  Throughout the two hour film I experienced a range of emotions. I felt sad, heartbroken, sick, shocked, angry, horrified and sympathetic. I wanted nothing more than to be there for Amy- a girl who was so clearly crying out for help in totally the wrong ways and receiving nothing. The drug addiction, the alcohol abuse, the slacking attitude towards her career, it all pointed to one thing- a very, very unhappy person. It broke my heart. Of course, we had all seen the infamous photos of the blood seeping from between Amy's toes through her light coloured ballet pumps at one of the peaks in her addiction; the nation had been scarred, stunned and shocked by them. On Monday 1st of February, BBC 3 aired a greatly anticipated documentary, "Rise of the Superstar Vloggers", presented by vlogging king, Jim Chapman. The idea of the documentary was to explore the concept of vlogging, where it started, what goes on behind the scenes and what lies ahead for vlogging in the future. As a teeny tiny YouTuber looking to restart my channel and a full on blogger, this documentary appealed to me greatly. So. What came out of this documentary? The good. It was great that the world of vlogging was getting some "serious" coverage, rather than being featured in a gossip magazine or being slagged off on some corner of the internet. Finally there was experts involved, analysing this world's love for YouTube, what can come from something as simple as vlogging. There was some insight into the side effects of vlogging, both the good and the bad that comes out of vlogging and so on which was interesting to see too.  It also show...

When I was really, really  young, I played with Barbie and Cindy dolls. I think most girls did. As I got older, a two types of new doll's came on the scene- cooler, more grown up, stylish dolls. These were Bratz and MyScene's. I adored both of them, and had a massive collection of dolls and clothes, accessories and cars, CD's and DVD's, and getting rid of them all when I became a "grown up" was quite a sad affair. After a while, the dolls stopped appearing in shops and Argos catalogues altogether and that seemed to be the sad end.  So you can only imagine how I felt when I discovered that Bratz dolls were relaunching, completely restyled and totally different! I discovered their Bratz app (which you should all download!) and their YouTube videos and checked out their Twitter account, and after some communication, they kindly offered to send me a doll to review! I was really excited when I saw that the lovely Vix  was starting up a new "box", a beauty box. I see people getting "boxes" all of the time- GlossyBox, Graze Box, Kawaii Box...there is literally so  many boxes! I've always wanted to try one but never really been able to afford one, or found them to be worth the cost. Oh Blogger Beauty Box, what a delightful discovery you were.
