So its Christmas and if you're single like me, you're probably sat wishing all the cute couple-y posts on social media would disappear for a while so you can relish in being single without feeling like you're missing out on that cutesy cute trip to Winter Wonderland or on that adorable ice skating trip with your other half. 

But single guys and gals (or, for the sake of this post, single gals), if you could be on that Winter Wonderland trip right now, the question is who would you be with?! Here's some of the guys I would love to be holding hands on the ice rink with (c r i n g e) 


John Krasinski
I don't know many girls who have watched the US Office and not fallen in love with Jim Halpert who is, of course, played by John Krasinski. He's handsome, he's charming, he's incredibly romantic and he's absolutely hilarious too, so you just know you'd have a brilliant time with him, right? What more could you want from a guy?

Bradley Cooper
Alright so he's a bit of a ladies man but lets just take two seconds (or maybe, two hours. Years. Whatever) to appreciate his beautiful face. And have you seen him in Silver Linings Playbook? They guy can move and therefore would be a brilliant ice skating partner. 



Damon Albarn
Preferably young Damon Albarn, but you know, can't turn back time and all that, so I'd settle for Damon Albarn as he is now...as long as he promised to serenade me with my favourite Blur songs as my Christmas present.

Nico Mirallegro
I loved him in My Mad Fat Diary and now I love him in BBC's Rillington Place. He's cute, he's funny and he's pretty easy on the eyes too! I can absolutely tell you'd have a right laugh spending Christmas with him doing all the things couples apparently do. 



Drake
I don't find Drake attractive at all but with all his emotions and shit you know he'd make sure you had the most romantic and sentimental Christmas ever! Which is what all girls want so that they have something good for the 'gram, am I right? 



So there's my Christmas crushes. If any of them want to step forward and make me have the most amazing Christmas of my life, that would be great, just slide on into my DM's. Children With Cancer UK Fashion Show!

Friday 27th February 2015 saw the grand event that was a fashion show in London for the fabulous charity, Children with Cancer UK. I was invited to the event about 2 weeks ago as a blogger, to cover the event and raise awareness of the charity. I was honored to have been asked to do so, as the charity is really just so important, as well as super excited to cover a fashion show, as this was something I had never done before! The night was a huge success, and the display of talent was extremely impressive- from the designers work, to the various acts performing in between! This week (13th - 20th May 2019) is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year, the theme is Body Image - how we think and feel about our bodies.  Those of you who have followed me for some time will know that for about two years now, if not more, I have been an advocate for body positivity and self love. More recently, you may have seen me featured in a story in The Metro , talking about a body shaming incident I experienced on holiday and how I dealt with it.  There's absolutely no denying that there is a direct correlation between body image and our mental health. I know that personally, when I'm experiencing a "bad body day" and don't feel very positively about my body, for whatever reason, my mental health goes down the drain too. Yet when we feel good about our bodies, this can be reflected in our mental health too.  When I experienced body shaming in my bikini on holiday, I felt the lowest I had in a while. Eating Disorders- the Blunt Truth.

WARNING:  The following content is sensitive and me be triggering to those suffering from, recovering from or who have recovered from eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia and other health problems such as depression. As I sit down in my local pub ready to tuck into my generous portion of gammon and chips, I feel a prickle on the back of my neck- that all to familiar feeling of knowing that someone is staring at you. As I whip my head around the dining area, my eyes fall on the slender figure of a girl, probably around my age, maybe a few years younger, looking at me with disgust in her eyes- disgust clearly at the way I look and what I'm eating. I feel fat, bulky, uncomfortable and I let my glance fall to her own plate, noticing she has a salad, mostly untouched. She sips constantly at her water like it's the only thing keeping her alive.
