Today's post is a little bit of self promotion and a little call for 'help' I suppose!

For those of you who don't already know, I run my own magazine, Love from... . This magazine has been running since June 1st and it's been an incredible journey. I have had a varied range of talented writers- at one point I had 23!- but now have a pretty secure little team covering a range of lifestyle topics. At Love from... we pride ourselves on the fact that we don't focus on women's bodies or looks, but more interesting, important and creative topics, from movie reviews to dinner recipes, travel articles to photography tips, we really do have quite a wide range of topics covered.

As the founder and editor of the magazine, I am the only person who puts funds into the magazine, with the money coming straight from my own pocket. Whilst I do charge people to buy copies, I don't make a profit off of the magazines- in fact, sometimes I don't even break even! And that's fine, because it's all still new and a learning process and it's only been a few months- profit is definitely a long way off!

However, we are now branching into more advertising offers- and that's were you might be able to help us!

Whether it's a blog, event, product or business, if you want to advertise it then we're happy to have you! We offer a wide range of different advertising deals, starting from as little as £4, which is a total bargain in our opinion! So for the price you pay, what can we offer you?

Children With Cancer UK Fashion Show!

Friday 27th February 2015 saw the grand event that was a fashion show in London for the fabulous charity, Children with Cancer UK. I was invited to the event about 2 weeks ago as a blogger, to cover the event and raise awareness of the charity. I was honored to have been asked to do so, as the charity is really just so important, as well as super excited to cover a fashion show, as this was something I had never done before! The night was a huge success, and the display of talent was extremely impressive- from the designers work, to the various acts performing in between! #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek - Body Image and Mental Health

This week (13th - 20th May 2019) is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year, the theme is Body Image - how we think and feel about our bodies.  Those of you who have followed me for some time will know that for about two years now, if not more, I have been an advocate for body positivity and self love. More recently, you may have seen me featured in a story in The Metro , talking about a body shaming incident I experienced on holiday and how I dealt with it.  There's absolutely no denying that there is a direct correlation between body image and our mental health. I know that personally, when I'm experiencing a "bad body day" and don't feel very positively about my body, for whatever reason, my mental health goes down the drain too. Yet when we feel good about our bodies, this can be reflected in our mental health too.  When I experienced body shaming in my bikini on holiday, I felt the lowest I had in a while. Eating Disorders- the Blunt Truth.

WARNING:  The following content is sensitive and me be triggering to those suffering from, recovering from or who have recovered from eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia and other health problems such as depression. As I sit down in my local pub ready to tuck into my generous portion of gammon and chips, I feel a prickle on the back of my neck- that all to familiar feeling of knowing that someone is staring at you. As I whip my head around the dining area, my eyes fall on the slender figure of a girl, probably around my age, maybe a few years younger, looking at me with disgust in her eyes- disgust clearly at the way I look and what I'm eating. I feel fat, bulky, uncomfortable and I let my glance fall to her own plate, noticing she has a salad, mostly untouched. She sips constantly at her water like it's the only thing keeping her alive.
